Vetro Recruitment is seeking experienced and dedicated ALN Teaching Assistants to work in a Special School in Wales. The school supports learners with ASD, PDA, Global Delay Disorder, and challenging behavior. As a Welsh Government framework staffing provider, Vetro Recruitment allows you to work in Primary, Secondary, and SEN schools, as well as privately run education provisions across Wales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and supervise learners with ASD, PDA, Global Delay Disorder, or Challenging Behaviour
  • Assist learners at the start and end of the school day
  • Assist staff members in preparing the classroom for lessons
  • Work with learners in small groups or one-to-one
  • Support the class teacher in delivering lessons
  • Assist learners at break time with their lunch
  • Engage learners in classroom and out-of-classroom activities
  • Work in accordance with the school's behavior management policies

Requirements:

  • At least 3 months' experience working with children in schools, nurseries, or childcare settings
  • Registration with the EWC (Education Workforce Council)
  • References covering the last two years
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
  • The right to work in the UK
