Demob Job Ltd is currently seeking a military-trained mechanical engineer who is interested in transitioning to the role of a Mechanical Inspection Engineer.

Our client highly values individuals with military backgrounds, and many of their current engineers have served in the armed forces.

The successful candidate will become part of a thriving nationwide organization, ideally located in the Edinburgh region. Your responsibilities will include visiting various client locations to conduct thorough inspections, assessments, and evaluations of engineering apparatus, including but not limited to cranes, lifting devices, and pressurized systems.

In return for your expertise, you will receive a competitive salary along with opportunities for continuous training and professional growth. While some travel across the UK may be required, this typically involves only two overnight stays each month.



Mechanical Inspection Engineer Requirements:

  • Possess a minimum of an NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Demonstrable experience in mechanical engineering.
  • Willingness to learn new engineering techniques and disciplines.
  • Familiarity with cranes or lifting devices is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, as this role involves direct interaction with clients.
  • Flexibility to travel as needed to meet business requirements.
  • Valid UK driving license.
