Carpenter Multitrade Position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter Multitrade to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the delivery of quality repairs and maintenance across a range of properties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out multi-skilled works, including responsive repairs, planned maintenance, empty homes refurbishments, high-value repairs, and capital projects, to an exceptional standard.
  • Plan and manage your workload effectively to maximize productivity and ensure timely completion of tasks. This includes responding to urgent and emergency repair requests and meeting all appointment schedules.
  • Communicate promptly with schedulers, planners, supervisors, and colleagues regarding any unforeseen issues or delays that may impact appointments, enabling efficient rescheduling.
  • Provide regular updates and information to supervisors, planners, and team members to facilitate the ordering of materials, planning, and scheduling of work.
  • Identify and report any follow-on or related repair works to customers during site visits. Provide detailed information to ensure accurate creation of further works orders.
  • Maintain and manage imprest stock and company property held on assigned vehicles. Ensure the security, care, and appropriate use of stock, tools, materials, plant equipment, and any other issued items.
  • Organize materials, tools, and equipment required for planned work. Arrange for imprest stock replenishment as needed and notify supervisors of any difficulties encountered.
Essential Requirements:
  • Proven experience in delivering high-quality multi-skilled repairs in domestic properties, utilizing a range of portable power tools and equipment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of safe construction practices and the application of safe systems of work, including asbestos awareness, working at heights (safe use of ladders, step ladders, and scaffolds).
  • Recognised C&G Apprentice trained in Multiskilling, NVQ Level 3.
  • Multi-skill training to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or a willingness to be trained to the required standard when employed by CRA GROUP LIMITED.
  • CSCS Card or the necessary qualifications, capacity, and willingness to complete the safety test and obtain the relevant CSCS card prior to commencing employment.
