Job Title: Technical Manager - Foreign Systems Interfaces

Job Summary:

We're seeking a technical manager to drive success as part of our Interface and Data Migration team. As a global leader in healthcare IT, we're looking for a skilled professional to coordinate the work of our team, develop our team members, and provide strategic direction to ensure the successful delivery of interface and data migration projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the work of the Interface and Data Migration team, connecting various healthcare IT systems across our customer base and migrating data from legacy systems into their new system.
  • Develop and lead a high-performing team by conducting performance reviews, organizing training plans, and establishing and monitoring progress against goals.
  • Identify gaps in resourcing and support the hiring and onboarding of new employees.
  • Provide strategic direction, coaching, mentorship, and guidance to a team of Interface Engineers and Interface Architects.
  • Support employees in case of customer or internal escalations.
  • Collaborate with other specialist teams to develop business delivery methods to improve data connectivity and sharing for the benefit of our customers.
  • Stay abreast of new technologies and industry standards in healthcare IT, particularly related to data exchange protocols and interoperability standards.
  • Support the customer relationship managers and Oracle sales teams with bids and customer conversations related to interoperability and data migration.
  • Travel up to 20%.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare IT, Management Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • At least 6 years of technical experience, preferably in the health and/or social care sector.
  • At least 1 year of experience in people management/team leadership.
  • At least 4 years of consulting experience, preferably in the health and/or social care sector.
  • Knowledge of the UK National Health System (NHS).
  • Fluent in English.
