Key Responsibilities- Manage all day-to-day accounting operations and controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present monthly management accounts, financial forecasts, and annual accounts for review by external accountants.
- Oversee the monthly payroll, cash flow, and debt collection processes.
- Manage the successful submission of the Corporation tax return and quarterly VAT return.
- Ensure compliance with company pension scheme and business insurance matters.
- Document business processes to maintain internal controls and support the senior leadership team with financial strategy and decision-making processes.
- Supervise and manage the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Manage the relationship with the company's external accountants.
- Fully qualified accountant (CA/ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent.
- At least 3 years' experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar leadership capacity.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present it in a user-friendly and understandable manner.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, with experience in Dynamics Nav ERP software being a plus.
- Strong Excel Skills.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a track record of successfully managing and developing teams.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and organisational skills.
