About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Audit Director to join our team at Forvis Mazars. As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for leading external audits, managing a portfolio of clients, and leading audit teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the formulation of audit strategy and planning for clients.
  • Provide technical expertise and advice to audit teams and clients.
  • Lead audit teams to ensure timely completion of assignments within budget.
  • Manage audit assignments from planning to finalization of reports.
  • Monitor time spent and control actual time within budget.
  • Coach, feedback, and performance manage audit team members.
  • Maintain control and stability under pressure while meeting deadlines.
  • Ensure audit standards and procedures are maintained.
  • Draft audit opinion summaries and other reporting documents.
  • Ensure clients are billed according to agreed billing plans.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities for new work.
  • Develop business relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Act as a point of contact for senior management and clients.
Requirements
  • ACA / CA / ACCA (or equivalent) qualification.
  • Significant experience in leading external audits and managing audit teams.
  • Prior experience as an Audit Senior Manager.
  • Client relationship management experience.
  • Relevant privately owned business sector audit experience.
  • Up-to-date technical knowledge of UK GAAP / FRS102 and IFRS.
  • Experience in managing, training, and coaching audit teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
