Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Fire and Security Engineer to join a well-established company focused on providing fire and security solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting a diverse customer base, including commercial and educational sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and commissioning of fire and security systems, including Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, and Fire Alarm systems.
- Participate in an emergency call-out rota (1 week in 8).
- Conduct client demonstrations and ensure all relevant paperwork is completed in accordance with industry standards.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary range: £30,000 - £38,000, depending on experience.
- Local work with minimal travel requirements.
- Annual bonuses, including a Christmas bonus and a summer end-of-year bonus (average £1,700 per year).
- Generous holiday allowance: 23 days + 8 bank holidays, with additional days for volunteering.
- Ongoing training budget of £2,000 per year.
- Comprehensive health plan and company pension scheme.
- Provision of uniform, laptop, specialist equipment, tools, and a company van with a fuel card.
- Initial industry standards fire training and relevant manufacturer training.
- Death in service benefit.
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the fire and security industry.
- Proven experience with commercial projects, particularly in intruder alarms and CCTV.
- Familiarity with access control systems, fire alarms, and emergency lighting is advantageous.
- Valid UK Driving Licence.
- Experience with various intruder alarm systems and CCTV equipment.
- Enhanced DBS check (desirable but will be completed upon joining).
