Job Title: Integration Architect or Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Integration Architect or Engineer to join our team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our digital transformation team, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing secure interfaces across the Trust and the wider North West London Acute Provider Collaborative (NWL APC).

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and develop complex technical integration architectures for interfaces across the Trust and the NWL APC.
  2. Review and quality assure interface design, development, documentation, and test plans to ensure adherence to Trust standards.
  3. Present technical integration solutions to senior management teams, system suppliers, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  4. Provide expert leadership in developing integration solutions for integration teams within the Trust and the NWL APC.
  5. Manage exceptions and slippage, and initiate escalations where appropriate.
  6. Analyze highly complex facts and options, including financial and technical data.
  7. Liaise with clinicians and external organizations to specify requirements.
  8. Participate in sensitive commercial supplier negotiations over technical issues.
  9. Contribute to the identification of new and emerging technologies for processing and managing information.
  10. Act autonomously in the delivery of a portfolio of digital initiatives in line with the Trust's Digital Strategy.
  11. Ensure interface architecture adheres to security and information governance standards.
  12. Support the Integration Manager in the development of integration-related business cases.
  13. Determine estimated costs of resources and monitor resource expenditure.
  14. Provide in-depth specialist knowledge and expertise on technical aspects of system integration.
  15. Make recommendations about ICT projects and their impact across the Trust.
  16. Explore alternative approaches and prepare documents to explain solutions to stakeholders.
  17. Align solutions and integration with business processes and IT strategy.
  18. Take long-term responsibility for the organization's IT integration architecture.
  19. Provide regular and ad hoc reports as required by the service.
  20. Support the quality assurance demands of the Trust.
  21. Ensure existing interface architecture remains 'fit for purpose.'
  22. Occasionally work flexibly to meet service demands, including system deployment in the evenings or weekends.
  23. Travel between Trust and NWL sites as required.
  24. Provide cover for colleagues as appropriate.
  25. Undertake any other duties requested as appropriate to the banding.
