Job Description:

We are looking for a behaviour mentor to work 1-1 and within a whole class setting to support the teacher and manage the behaviour.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in implementing the behaviour policy of the school and help students to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement behaviour management techniques to support students with behavioural needs.
  • Work closely with teachers to develop and implement behaviour plans.
  • Provide individualised support to students to help them overcome barriers to learning.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the school's behaviour policy.
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents and staff.

Requirements:

  • Relevant childcare or SEN qualification (CACHE Level 3 in Childcare, Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Special Educational Needs Diploma)
  • Enhanced Child only DBS (on the update service)
  • Previous experience working with children with behavioural needs
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and staff
  • Patience, empathy and resilience
