Position Overview

Belcan Workforce Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced EPCM Project Scheduler to become a vital part of our client's team, focusing on a variety of projects within the Life Science and Chemical industries. This role offers a flexible working arrangement, allowing for a blend of remote and in-office work.

Core Responsibilities

Schedule Creation: Develop and sustain comprehensive construction timelines utilizing Primavera P6, ensuring alignment with project objectives, key milestones, and deadlines.

Monitoring Progress: Oversee and report on the advancement of construction tasks, pinpoint potential setbacks, and recommend corrective measures to maintain project timelines.

Resource Coordination: Collaborate with Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, and Procurement teams to guarantee optimal and effective resource distribution (labor, materials, equipment).

Risk Assessment: Recognize and evaluate potential threats to the project timeline, formulating strategies to mitigate impacts.

Record Keeping: Ensure precise documentation of project schedules, modifications, and progress reports, making certain all records are current and accessible to relevant parties.

Site Assessments: Perform regular site inspections to evaluate progress, confirm adherence to schedules, and resolve any on-site challenges.

Process Enhancement: Apply best practices in construction planning and scheduling, consistently seeking avenues for process and outcome improvements.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in field construction and engineering planning on EPCM projects within the pharmaceutical and chemical sectors (preferably in process contracting).
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline is preferred; relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Advanced proficiency in project planning and scheduling with Primavera P6.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to identify potential scheduling risks and devise effective mitigation strategies.
  • Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy in project planning and scheduling.
  • Experience with main contractors is essential.
