SuperCare Residential is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Team Lead with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience to manage operations at a newly established residential facility for children. The role requires adaptability, as it involves addressing the evolving needs of the young residents. Responsibilities include leading shifts, developing individualized support plans, and ensuring the well-being of the children in accordance with the Children Act 1989. Key Responsibilities
Primary Duties:
- Engage directly with young residents, providing key working support and actively participating in care on a shift basis.
- Collaborate with young people, their social workers, caregivers, and other relevant organizations to coordinate, monitor, and review Care Plans, risk assessments, and placement strategies, facilitating positive transitions towards independence.
- Oversee the maintenance of the facility concerning health and safety standards, making independent decisions regarding individual young people's needs and behaviors during shifts.
- Manage administrative tasks and maintain accurate records related to key working responsibilities and the daily operations of the home.
- Empower young people to take responsibility for their lives, keeping them informed of their rights and involving them in planning their futures, while providing support to enhance their autonomy.
- Lead and supervise a shift effectively.
Facility Management Duties:
- Participate in essential activities to maintain the residential environment.
- Ensure the upkeep of the facility, including equipment and overall surroundings.
- Be responsible for managing funds allocated for specific purposes.
- Report maintenance issues and ensure timely resolutions.
- Promote healthy eating by ensuring young residents have access to nutritious meals prepared by staff.
- Conduct health and safety checks in compliance with established policies and regulatory standards.
Professional Development:
- Stay informed about best practices to enhance skills, knowledge, and experience in line with a personal development plan.
- Engage in regular professional supervision.
- Report any malpractice or concerns to a line manager or appropriate authority.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform any other reasonable tasks as directed by management.
- Work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required on a rotational basis.
- Exhibit flexibility to work at other SuperCare properties as needed.
