We are seeking an experienced Cook/Chef to join our team at Newlands House, a residential care home for people with physical disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver a varied menu that is healthy and nutritionally balanced, meeting specific dietary requirements for customers.
- Work within an agreed budget to ensure an efficiently run kitchen, supervising staff who will assist in food preparation.
- Maintain exceptional levels of hygiene and cleanliness at all times, meeting Health, Safety and other regulatory requirements.
- Provide catering for functions and special events, helping to celebrate a range of events throughout the year.
- Experience in a similar role, preferably in a care home or residential setting.
- Ability to work within a budget and manage kitchen resources effectively.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to supervise and motivate staff.
- Knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements, with the ability to plan and prepare meals accordingly.
