Company Overview:
Rubix Recruitment is seeking a proactive and innovative individual to enhance our finance team. This is a unique opportunity to establish and implement new systems that will improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Financial Director in preparing lender application forms as needed.
  • Manage incoming invoices and maintain the accounts email inbox.
  • Verify invoices against agreements and address discrepancies.
  • Assist the Land Team with budget schedules, project costs, and quotations.
  • Track, input, and update financial schedules.
  • Generate invoices and monitor incoming payments.
  • Compile and submit approved invoices for payment processing.
  • Prepare VAT return documentation for accountants via SharePoint.
  • Coordinate with accountants on VAT, Corporation Tax, and Year-End Accounts.
  • Utilize Xero software for financial management.
  • Conduct budget monitoring, including financial forecasts and actuals.
  • Handle banking tasks such as cheque deposits and large payments.
  • Schedule appointments with lenders and manage critical deadlines.
  • Follow up with lenders for mortgage statements.
  • Maintain precise and comprehensive financial records.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Oversee direct debits across all bank accounts.
  • Ensure accuracy in payments and financial records.
  • Work proficiently with Excel spreadsheets.

Candidate Profile:
  • Experience in an accounting role, ideally within the construction or property sectors.
  • Familiarity with Xero and SharePoint platforms.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • A positive attitude with a sense of humor and a proactive approach.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
  • Effective time management and workload prioritization abilities.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with various stakeholders.
  • Possession of a valid UK driving license.
