Job Title: Unqualified Teaching Assistant

Location: Chorley, Lancashire

Contract: Full time and part time roles available

We are seeking dedicated individuals to provide support to our teaching staff and students as Teaching Assistants (Unqualified). The position requires a commitment to work throughout the next academic year.

Responsibilities:
  • Supporting the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and activities.
  • Preparing lesson materials and resources.
  • Providing one-to-one or small group support to students who need extra assistance.
  • Assisting with classroom management and maintaining a safe learning environment.
  • Supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Undertaking other duties as required by the classroom teacher or school leadership team.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of a GCSE grade 5 or above in English and Mathematics is required.
  • Some experience of working with children or young people would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enthusiasm, flexibility and a willingness to learn.
  • A positive attitude and a genuine desire to help and support students.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • A willingness to undergo training and professional development as required.
