We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Pension Scheme Auditor to join our Audit Team at Suffolk County Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective delivery of our internal audit services.
About the Role:
- Prepare and undertake audits to ensure the effective governance and risk management of our internal audit services.
- Assist in the delivery of good governance across our partnerships.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of risk management frameworks and their application in our organization.
- Collaborate with our teams to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring the integrity of our financial systems and processes.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to our stakeholders on audit findings and recommendations.
Requirements:
- 3 years of proven relevant experience in public sector auditing or equivalent.
- Proven experience of working within a risk-based auditing environment.
- Good understanding of risk management frameworks and their application in a public sector context.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
