Job Title: Senior Project Manager

Crux Product Design is a leading consultancy seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our project management team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to take on a senior role and contribute to the success of our company.

In this position, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary design and engineering teams to lead and manage the development of medical and consumer goods devices, from concept to production. Your success in this role will be crucial to the company's growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple design and development projects, including concept development, product definition, design and development, and transfer to manufacture.
  • Lead and collaborate with project teams to resolve complex design, mechanical engineering, electronics, and software challenges.
  • Provide program management activities for large client accounts and client partnerships.
  • Line manage other members of the Project Management team to ensure successful delivery of their projects under client projects and partnerships.
  • Ensure goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction, safety, quality, and team member performance.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and risks.
  • Manage resource allocation for projects and interdependencies between projects.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, fostering trust and collaboration.
  • Capture business opportunities from ongoing client project activities.
  • Create and review project proposals and quotations, including defining project schedules and budgets.
  • Produce accurate and timely reporting of program status to clients and internal stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • A 1st or 2:1 degree in an engineering or relevant discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years' project management experience, managing medical device design and development projects.
  • Experience working to ISO 13485 and ISO 14971, or equivalent regulations and requirements of the FDA.
  • A project management track-record gained within a highly technical and team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with experience of formal project reporting.
  • Ability to clearly communicate ideas and work flexibly within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an articulate and diplomatic manner.
  • Experience of planning multiple parallel tasks and defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Ability to track project progress and deliver projects on-time and to budget.
  • Ability to address issues as they arise and make and drive decisions.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience across all levels of seniority.
  • Line management experience.
