Job Title: Data Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team at Michigan School Public Relations Association. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in planning, organizing, and executing research projects, coordinating research activities, communicating with stakeholders, managing data collection processes, evaluating programs, and assisting in data analysis projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate research projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and objectives.
  • Assist and manage survey processes, including communication with districts, customizations, data collection, and analysis.
  • Coordinate data collection activities including survey administration, interviews, focus groups, and evaluations.
  • Collaborate in projects requiring data analysis and visualization.
  • Conduct literature reviews and assist with the development of research proposals.
  • Collect, manage, and analyze research data using appropriate software tools and statistical techniques.
  • Prepare research reports and presentations for dissemination to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of research activities, including protocols, sharing agreements, and data documentation.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among research team members, collaborators, and partners.
  • Stay current with developments in research methodologies, best practices, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, sociology, etc.).
  • Minimum 1 year of related experience.
  • Proven experience in research coordination or project management, preferably in an academic setting.
  • Strong knowledge of research methods, study design, and data analysis techniques.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing project needs and priorities.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in research practices.
  • Skills in Microsoft Office, Tableau, Qualtrics, and/or various programming languages preferred.
