About the Maintenance Role at Tesco

We are seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians to join our team at Tesco Property Maintenance. Our stores and offices rely on the support of our crucial teams, and we are looking for individuals who can provide excellent customer experiences.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Repairs with External Contractors: Ensure seamless interactions and efficient repair processes.
  • Collaborate with the Team: Foster a culture of quality service and teamwork.
  • Maintain High Energy Levels: Handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Support the Management Team: Ensure stores run smoothly by managing equipment and facilities.
  • Minimize Customer Disruption: Coordinate repairs with minimal impact on customers.

Your duties will involve:

  • Ensuring all Tesco sites are safe and functional for customers and colleagues.
  • Following work schedules to achieve efficient repairs.
  • Sharing best practices and knowledge with team members.
  • Performing general store and property maintenance tasks.
  • Using mobile devices to optimize work processes.
  • Representing the Tesco brand by demonstrating core values and maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Attending meetings to provide feedback and input.
  • Promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Your Qualifications:

  • Full driving license
  • Health & Safety awareness
  • Strong communication & stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in Office 365
  • Various certifications related to gas, heating systems, and safety

Desired Skills:

  • Completion of an apprenticeship or trade proficiency test
  • Certifications in Refrigeration, AC, Heating & Ventilation, or Plumbing & Heating
  • Mechanical Engineering qualifications
  • Proficiency with mobile devices and business systems
  • Knowledge of F-Gas and ODS regulations
