Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team at Orion Electrotech in Buckinghamshire, UK.
Key Responsibilities:- Cost Management: Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts for construction projects.
- Tendering & Procurement: Manage the tendering process, including preparing and issuing tender documents, evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts.
- Contract Administration: Administer contracts, including change orders, variations, and claims, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Cost Control: Monitor project costs and expenditures, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or potential issues.
- Reporting: Provide regular financial reports and updates to project managers and stakeholders.
- Site Visits: Conduct site visits to assess progress, ensure quality control, and manage cost implications.
- Client Liaison: Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors, and subcontractors to address any cost-related queries or issues.
- Documentation: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all financial transactions and project records.
- Qualifications: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. Professional membership with RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or working towards it is highly desirable.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, with a strong understanding of construction processes and cost management.
- Skills: Excellent numerical and analytical skills, proficiency in cost management software, and strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and cost estimation.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues proactively and effectively.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
