Job Overview

Position Summary:

As a key member of the culinary leadership team, you will report directly to the Regional Executive Chef and the Executive Chef of Culinary Innovation UK&I. Your primary focus will be on driving culinary creativity and maintaining high standards of quality across the UK&I region. This role encompasses the generation of innovative culinary concepts, implementation of strategic initiatives, and oversight of culinary processes, ensuring adherence to quality and compliance standards.

This position requires frequent travel across various locations, necessitating a valid driver's license and the ability to commute as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve customer satisfaction and meet business goals while optimizing resources.
  • Work collaboratively with menu development teams and Account Managers to enhance customer experiences and profitability.
  • Engage with clients to gather insights into their culinary needs.
  • Establish and fulfill internal customer expectations.
  • Analyze operational data, identify challenges, and propose solutions while providing regular updates.
  • Foster innovation and support continuous improvement initiatives within the culinary department.
  • Conduct internal quality assessments and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Participate in menu planning sessions and address customer-related culinary issues.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to enhance their contributions and facilitate career development.
  • Manage resources efficiently to create a productive work environment.
  • Address operational challenges promptly and cost-effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Lead and mentor direct reports, conducting performance evaluations.
  • Adhere to company policies and operational procedures.

Qualifications and Experience:

Educational Background:

  • Relevant culinary or hospitality qualifications (degree or diploma required); Intermediate HACCP certification preferred; Management or leadership training is advantageous.

Professional Experience:

  • Significant experience in managing large-scale food production operations.
  • Qualified Chef with international culinary experience preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of restaurant production methodologies and market dynamics.
  • Proven experience in team management within the food sector.
  • Experience in budget management and achieving financial targets.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficient in Lean Management principles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Exceptional presentation abilities.
  • Intermediate proficiency in IT applications.
  • Demonstrated financial management skills.
