Estimator / QS Opportunity

Mika Recruitment & Consulting Limited is seeking an experienced Estimator / QS to join their growing business in East Dorset.

About the Role

We are looking for an Estimator with a strong background in the construction industry, specifically in calculating costs for projects ranging from £100k to £1m. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to build relationships with key stakeholders, and have experience with relevant computer software such as Excel, Word, and Microsoft suite.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtaining quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers within a specified timeframe
  • Making use of relevant computer software to manage estimates and projects
  • Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Leading and providing guidance on estimating expertise at Bid, Project, Commercial, and customer reviews and meetings
Requirements
  • Experience as an Estimator / QS in the building industry, ideally with projects ranging from £100k to £1m
  • Good overall knowledge of the building industry
  • Confident with Microsoft Office programs
What We Offer

This is an office-based role in East Dorset, Monday to Friday, with onsite parking available.
