About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at IQA Group. As a key member of our Electrical Power sector, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical networks for our clients in Glasgow and across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Liaise with clients to establish design parameters and ensure that all designs meet regulatory and statutory requirements.
  2. Design and develop electrical networks using design tools such as AutoCAD, Windebut, and Castline.
  3. Ensure that all designs are legally compliant and provide information to allow wayleaves/servitudes to be agreed.
  4. Stay up-to-date with advancements in electrical engineering and incorporate new technologies into designs.
  5. Produce cost estimates in line with current commercial procedures.
Requirements
  1. Electrical Qualification (ONC Level or Higher in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent).
  2. Relevant Electrical Industry experience for the last 3 years working as a Design Engineer on HV & LV Distribution Networks.
  3. Good Working Knowledge of the Electrical Contestable Market & Regulations.
  4. Design experience- Underground Cables/Primary & Secondary Substations along with EV.
  5. Experience & Knowledge of Autocad / Windebut / Castline or similar.
  6. Full Driving License.
