HGV Class 2 Driver Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 driver to join our team at 24-7 Recruitment Services Ltd. As a Class 2 driver, you will be responsible for safely operating an HGV 2 delivery vehicle, loading and unloading goods, and planning efficient routes for timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate an HGV 2 delivery vehicle and ensure compliance with traffic laws and regulations.
  • Load and unload goods from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
  • Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries, utilizing GPS or maps to locate delivery addresses.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and logbooks accurately, maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Provide excellent customer service, interacting with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license with appropriate category for operating a Class 2 vehicle.
  • Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with experience driving an HGV vehicle.
  • Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
  • Ability to navigate using GPS or maps to locate delivery addresses.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers.
