Job Title: Head of Financial and Regulatory Governance

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Corporate Governance function as Head of Financial and Regulatory Governance. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of corporate governance requirements, corporate law, and regulation across our UK General Insurance business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as Company Secretary to the UK General Insurance business and associated entities, providing advice to the Board on corporate governance and company secretarial matters.
  • Lead and manage the UK General Insurance Company Secretarial team, ensuring the successful management of resources within the agreed budget.
  • Deliver high-quality corporate governance advice and assurance, and provide timely and value-adding company secretarial services.
  • Develop and implement governance and best practice policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with executive and non-executive Board Directors to ensure statutory duties are discharged effectively.
  • Provide minute writing and governance document production services to a high standard.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience delivering high-quality Corporate Governance Services, preferably within a FTSE100/250 organisation and ideally within the financial services industry/regulated environment.
  • Fellow/Associate of the Chartered Governance Institute (FCIS/ACIS) or qualified lawyer.
  • Extensive experience delivering high-quality Company Secretarial and Corporate Governance support in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient working knowledge of the regulatory environment and general insurance industry experience.
  • Strong stakeholder management and engagement experience at all levels.
