About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team at PWS Technical Services (UK) LTD. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in developing accurate and timely tenders and estimates, and submitting competitive bids and proposals for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and submit tenders and estimates for clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Analyse and interpret client requirements, drawings, and specifications to determine pricing and value-engineered alternatives
  • Attend pre and post-tender meetings with clients and their representatives to discuss project details and negotiate contracts
  • Work closely with our Directors, internal teams, and operational colleagues to ensure the company maintains a strong market position
  • Coordinate tender information and communication with all necessary parties, ensuring efficient and effective project delivery
  • Assist the business in meeting financial targets by identifying new suppliers and sub-contractors to improve safety, performance, and profit
Requirements
  • Proven experience in estimating within the UK ground/geotechnical engineering, piling, or foundations consultant or contractor sectors
  • Commercial aptitude and ability to develop accurate and timely tenders and estimates
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to confidently communicate with clients, suppliers, and colleagues
  • Ability to work under deadline pressures in an efficient, composed, and calm manner
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement effective solutions to complex project requirements
