Principal Civil Engineer

We are seeking an exceptional Principal Civil Engineer to provide leadership within our Water team in Glasgow.

Our consultancy client offers a collaborative working environment and the chance to work on interesting projects, including flood protection design, water supply, river modelling, coastal flood risk assessment, and support services for dams and reservoirs.

Candidates for this role should possess:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, potentially complemented by a master's degree.
  • Chartered Engineer status, with membership in ICE or CIWEM.
  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in the field.
  • Proven management skills for deliverables and client interactions.
  • Proficiency in report writing and communication.
  • Familiarity with DMRB, Scottish Water, and other national design standards.
  • Expertise in MicroDrainage, Causeway, InfoDrainage, Civils3D, and BIM tools.
  • A keen interest in team leadership and the mentorship of graduates.
