About the Role

Teaching Personnel is collaborating with educational institutions and local organizations seeking a dedicated Literacy Instructor to assist students in enhancing their skills in English.

This rewarding position allows you to work individually or in small groups, providing essential support and guidance in navigating the English curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and delivering interactive lessons focused on the English curriculum.
  • Evaluating student progress and offering constructive feedback to inform future learning strategies.
  • Recognizing individual student needs and interests to create a personalized learning experience.
  • Applying effective behavior management techniques to maintain student engagement and focus during sessions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid Professional Teaching Credentials (Qualified Teacher Status, QTS).
  • Current Enhanced DBS check on the update service, or willingness to obtain one with support from Teaching Personnel.
  • Professional references from your two most recent employers, covering a minimum of 2 months within a 10-year work history.
  • Experience working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, and other additional requirements.
