As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electronics solutions that meet our high standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electronics solutions for our product range, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and non-technical staff to ensure that all design solutions meet our specifications and requirements.
  • Contribute to design reviews and provide technical expertise to ensure that all designs are of the highest quality.
  • Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of PCB layout principles and best practices for high-speed signal routing.
  • Debug prototype PCBs using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analysers, etc.
  • Write technical specifications and design boards to meet a set of specifications.
  • Verify the compliance of design solutions against a set of specifications.
  • Contribute to the development of RF PCBs and FPGA development (VHDL/Verilog) experience is beneficial.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electronics Engineering or related qualification (or several years industry experience).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience using Altium and LTSpice, or similar transferable experience.
  • Experience designing multi-layer circuit boards, including components such as microcontrollers, DC-DC converters, FPGAs, embedded processors, motor drivers, etc.
  • Thorough knowledge of PCB layout principles and best practices for high-speed signal routing.
  • Skills and experience debugging prototype PCBs, making use of test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analysers, etc.
  • Experience writing technical specifications and designing boards to a set of specifications.
  • Ability to verify the compliance of a design solution against a set of specifications.
  • Experience contributing to design reviews and collaborating with other engineers and non-technical staff.
  • Strong appreciation for EMC considerations in electronics development and the ability to debug EMC related issues.
  • Embedded programming skills (C++).
  • Experience using version control systems such as git.
