Position Overview:
We are seeking a Versatile Engineering Technician for a leading robotics organization. This role involves a diverse range of responsibilities within a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
While not all skills are mandatory, a readiness to learn is essential.

  • Design and assemble control panels for automation and robotic systems.
  • Ensure adherence to industry regulations and project requirements.
  • Utilize skills in drilling, grinding, and welding for the creation and assembly of mechanical components.
  • Collaborate with the design team to transform mechanical ideas into tangible products.
  • Employ CAD software to produce comprehensive designs for mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Apply animation techniques to CAD designs.
  • Work alongside the engineering team to refine and enhance designs.
  • Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical problems in control panels and machinery.
  • Implement effective troubleshooting methods to reduce downtime.
  • Manage supply cables, ensuring correct routing and termination.
  • Follow safety and quality protocols during cable installations.
  • Design and fabricate customized End-of-Arm Tools for specific robotic applications.
  • Develop innovative solutions to engineering challenges.
  • Suggest enhancements to existing systems for improved performance and reliability.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress and collaborate on timelines.

Qualifications:
While preferable, the following qualifications are not essential:

  • HNC or higher in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and wiring control panels.
  • Proficiency in CAD software for both electrical and mechanical design.
  • Strong mechanical fabrication skills, including welding, grinding, and drilling.
  • Solid understanding of electrical systems with troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Experience in cable management and installation.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
