We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at CV Library. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Manage and coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met.
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Assist in the preparation of health and safety documentation, including risk assessments and method statements.
- Ensure all project records are up-to-date and readily available.
- Develop a detailed understanding of standard products and services.
- Support the commercial manager with forecasting and contract administration.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
- At least 2 years' experience in a mechanical engineering or workshop environment.
- Ability to interpret fabrication drawings, site GA's, valve & instrument schedules, and standard specifications.
- Strong negotiation skills and a strategic approach in managing local suppliers.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work with team members, clients, and suppliers.
Decision Making Authority:
- Manage own time to achieve objectives.
- Purchasing within agreed limits as directed by Project Managers and the Senior Management Team.
- Undertake any activities responsibly as instructed by or agreed by Directors.
