Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team, focusing on delivering exceptional customer service and support. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems, with expertise in Siemens S7 PLC, TIA Portal, Profibus, and ASi-Bus networks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform planned preventative maintenance on BEUMER sortation and material handling equipment, ensuring timely and detailed service reports.
  • Support installation projects, modernisations, and warranty work, collaborating with technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Attend breakdowns, troubleshooting, testing, and repairing technical equipment, with a focus on resolving issues efficiently.
  • Provide operational and residential site cover, working individually and as part of a team to meet customer needs.
  • Populate RAMS related to work undertaken, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Proven field service experience, with a strong ability to build positive relationships with customers.
  • High level of electrical and mechanical control knowledge and awareness.
  • Experience with Siemens S7 PLC, TIA Portal, Profibus, and ASi-Bus networks, or ability to quickly develop this knowledge.
  • Broad knowledge of Material Handling systems.
  • Electrical or multi-skilled qualification (ONC or equivalent).
  • Ability to fault-find on electrical and mechanical systems, diagnose errors, and determine proper solutions.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Willingness to travel nationally and occasionally internationally.

Desirable Qualifications

  • CSCS, First Aid, IOSH, IPAF qualifications.
  • English literacy.
