About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Cost Estimator to join our team at Carbon60. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing detailed cost estimates and managing bids for large and complex design and build projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop accurate take-offs and prime cost estimates using software tools like Trimble Contract Master or bespoke systems, ensuring quality and reliability.
  • Lead the preparation and submission of bids, ensuring they are competitive, strategic, and exceed client expectations by deeply understanding project specifications.
  • Seek innovative, cost-effective solutions to improve bid profitability and project value, demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, project managers, and procurement teams, ensuring alignment and clear communication for smooth project execution.
  • Keep detailed records of tenders, ensuring data is precise, organized, and readily accessible for analysis and review.
  • Manage multiple, concurrent projects independently, showcasing exceptional time management, prioritization skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
Requirements
  • A full UK driving license is essential due to the mobility requirements of this role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to distill complex information into actionable insights.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
