About the Role

Methods Business and Digital Technology Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems using Python and SQL.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop efficient and reliable backend systems using Python and SQL.
  2. Utilize frameworks such as Django, Flask, FastAPI, Asyncio, Aiohttp, and SQLAlchemy to build scalable web applications.
  3. Manage and optimize databases, specifically PostgreSQL, NATS, Redis, and Azure SQL Database.
  4. Leverage Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Functions, Azure KeyVault, and Azure DevOps for cloud-based solutions.
  5. Conduct thorough testing using SonarQube, Pytest, isort, black, and bandit to ensure code quality and reliability.
  6. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps Pipelines.
  7. Monitor and improve system performance with Prometheus and Grafana.
Requirements
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Experience with frameworks such as Django, Flask, FastAPI, Asyncio, Aiohttp, and SQLAlchemy.
  • Solid understanding of database management, including PostgreSQL, NATS, Redis, and Azure SQL Database.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services and cloud-based architecture.
  • Proficient in testing frameworks and tools: SonarQube, Pytest, isort, black, and bandit.
