Position Overview:
As a Roofing Cost Estimator, you will be instrumental in the bidding process. Your responsibilities will span from the initial evaluation to the commercial transition upon order confirmation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Review tender documents and specifications for sloped and flat roofing initiatives.
- Perform detailed take-offs and measurements to ascertain material and labor needs.
- Gather and assess quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Develop precise and competitive cost estimates.
- Work alongside the commercial team to finalize and review tenders.
- Present tenders to clients and participate in tender discussions as necessary.
- After a successful tender award, ensure a smooth transition to the project team.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Demonstrated experience as a Cost Estimator with a concentration on sloped and flat roofing projects.
- In-depth knowledge of roofing materials, methodologies, and industry benchmarks.
- Proficient in estimating software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong numerical and analytical capabilities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Keen attention to detail and the ability to perform under pressure.
