Role Overview:

As an Asset Evaluation Specialist, you will be instrumental in upholding the maintenance and safety standards of our port facilities. This engaging position entails performing thorough condition evaluations and inspections of a diverse range of assets, including infrastructure such as buildings, bridges, roadways, piers, quays, and breakwaters. You will independently organize and execute asset evaluations, create and assess risk management plans, and work closely with various stakeholders to minimize disruptions to port activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Documenting asset deficiencies and proposing maintenance and repair solutions.
  • Managing reports within our electronic asset management system.
  • Overseeing contractors during minor construction and maintenance tasks.

Working Hours: Full-time

Qualifications for Asset Evaluation Specialist:

  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and Mathematics.
  • HNC in Civil Engineering, Building Surveying, or a related construction discipline, or a Trade apprenticeship to at least NVQ level 3 or equivalent vocational training.
  • Previous experience in asset condition evaluations is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A valid driving license and personal transportation.
  • Physical capability to work at heights, over water, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions.
