About the Role

Boeing Defence UK is seeking a highly skilled Linux Systems Administrator to join our IT Infrastructure team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality IT services and supporting various technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Continuously improve services to align with industry best practices and Boeing enterprise standards.
  • Respond to events, requests, and incidents in management systems.
  • Analyze log files, systems, and network traffic to identify issues.
  • Work to well-defined SLAs and KPIs to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Support functional teams, including networking, and identify technical challenges and limitations.
  • Represent IT International as needed and provide comprehensive communications to stakeholders.
  • Produce and update comprehensive documentation.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in a Linux role, either delivery or support.
  • Good Linux systems administration skills, including configuration, troubleshooting, and scripting.
  • Troubleshooting and performance tuning experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Service Management Tools and working within an ITIL framework.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working in a secure environment.
  • Experience with containerization, such as Docker.
  • Experience with automation techniques.
