About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our client's team in developing a secure and scalable data platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing microservices, advancing the development of the data platform, and enhancing the ingestion process.

About the Company

Our client is a product and software business that has partnered with us to hire a Senior Software Engineer. They are a well-established company with a clear product market fit and a growing customer base. They are heavily B2B, with products used by customers for tasks ranging from fleet management to data reporting and staff training.

About the Team

You will be reporting into the Head of Software Development and collaborating closely with the product team. On the Engineering team, you will work alongside Cloud Engineers, backend and front-end developers to develop an event-driven Azure-hosted data platform with the backend written in C# and Python.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop microservices
  • Advance the development of the data platform, enhancing the ingestion process and expanding C#-based APIs
  • Collaborate with the product team to develop digital applications handling thousands of users
Requirements
  • C# and Python
  • React or JavaScript
  • ORM Tools (SQL Alchemy, Django, or EF Core)
  • Unit testing (xUnit, pytest, React Testing Library, or Jest)
  • Experience within DevOps environments and CI/CD pipelines
  • Feature flag software releases
