We are seeking a skilled Utility Surveyor to join our client's team based in Rayleigh, Essex. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4-5 years' experience in producing detailed underground utility surveys and be proficient in the use of EML and GPR technology.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out site surveys as required by work instructions
- Undertake thorough, investigative utility surveys and conduct paperwork in accordance with company procedures
- Liaise with other site surveyors, contractors, suppliers, and clients
- Create Utility Survey Reports
- Carry out quality control checks before drawings are issued to customers
- Mentor and train less experienced surveyors
- Gather data to produce mapping information of underground and overground supply services
- Complete core on-site detecting and mapping activities required for underground utility surveys, including Ground Penetrating Radar (high and low frequency), GPR in Mark-out Mode, EML methods, and drainage surveys
- Lead and coordinate field teams on site
- Oversee technical aspects of projects to ensure quality delivery
- Ability to undertake PAS128 Surveys
- Previous experience working as a Utility Surveyor, ideally with supervisory experience
- Advanced skills in the use of Electromagnetic and Ground Penetrating Radar equipment
- Good knowledge and understanding of utility provider drawings
- Excellent knowledge and experience of underground utility mapping and GPR
- Knowledge of Topographical Surveying equipment beneficial but not essential
- Experience working across a wide variety of environments and on complex surveys
- Ability to work away from home occasionally
- Previous experience in post-processing GPR data is desirable
- NVQ Level 3 or 5 qualification is beneficial but not essential
- CSCS qualification is beneficial but not essential
