About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as an Academy Secretary at City Football Group. This is a full-time permanent role that requires a strong understanding of the requirements of an elite level sporting organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Club Secretary and Academy Director in the delivery of football administration activities at the LFC Academy.
  • Act as the point of contact between the Academy and external governing bodies, including the Premier League, FA, EFL, UEFA, and FIFA.
  • Oversee and manage all match days, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and administrative arrangements.
  • Manage 'International Call Ups' for Academy players and assist in the provision of necessary information to external governing bodies.
  • Assist in the provision of all necessary assistance to the Premier League in relation to the on-going monitoring and annual evaluations of the Academy.
  • Manage other administrative activities as required by the Club Secretary.
  • Respond to disciplinary matters as they pertain to Academy Players.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of Coaching qualifications and licenses for full-time Academy coaching staff.

Requirements:

  • Excellent organisation and administrative skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of professional football regulations, including rules governing on-pitch discipline and fixtures management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey information accurately and clearly.
  • Proven ability to build sustainable relationships with key stakeholders and create an effective network of colleagues and contacts.
  • Professionalism and discretion, with the ability to work in a confidential and sensitive environment.
  • Proactive, reliable, and resilient, with the confidence to stand your ground when appropriate.
  • Excellent attention to detail and experience in identifying tasks which can be improved.
