The Role:
We are seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer who possesses both electrical and mechanical expertise. This role is essential in ensuring our production machinery operates efficiently and effectively. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance Specialist: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Issue Resolver: Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults swiftly and effectively.
- Project Contributor: Support the installation of new machinery and upgrades, contributing innovative ideas to enhance our operations.
- Safety Advocate: Follow all health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborative Team Member: Work closely with colleagues to streamline production processes and improve efficiency.
Responsibilities will include:
Working as part of the engineering team to deliver effective mechanical and electrical support throughout the facility. Tasks will involve responding to maintenance requests, engaging in continuous improvement projects, and executing planned maintenance activities. The role encompasses a variety of complex automated processes and packaging systems.
- Provide timely responses to maintenance requests and breakdowns.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed.
- Conduct root cause analyses as necessary.
- Escalate any additional work requirements.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities for recurring issues.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Relevant engineering qualifications.
- Proven competency in electrical safety and isolation procedures.
- Experience in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environments.
- Proficient in using computer-based maintenance management systems.
- Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic work environment.
- Strong commitment to health and safety practices.
- Ability to disassemble and reassemble machinery, including performing size change procedures.
Shift Pattern:
- Night shifts from 10pm to 6am, Sunday to Thursday.
Salary:
- Up to £57,500 per annum, depending on experience.
