About the Role:

This is a specialist care home providing residential and nursing support to adults aged 18 years and older who have a brain injury. As a Nurse, your key duties will include:

  • Delivering prescribed care to a defined group of patients that reflect their individual needs
  • Assessing, planning, and delivering nursing care that takes account of patient choice and wishes, acting as the patient's named nurse
  • Contributing to a team approach to patient care in conjunction with all members of the care team
  • Building relationships and effectively communicating with external professionals and stakeholders
  • Accurately communicating with, observing, and engaging with residents to assess need and evaluate progress
  • Participating in relevant quality improvement processes and clinical governance
  • Providing accurate information about care in an accessible format to residents and their families
Requirements:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Skilled general nursing experience with the ability to prioritize effectively
  • A willingness to embrace new learning and development opportunities
  • Compassionate advocacy for patients with complex physical and cognitive impairments
  • Ability to write comprehensive care plans and reports
  • Confident problem-solving skills
  • Clinical experience, including leadership skills and the ability to mentor junior staff
