Job Title: Senior Information Governance Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Information Governance Officer to lead our efforts in establishing, implementing, and overseeing information governance and data access processes for our Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC).

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of data governance, ensuring that we have the right processes in place to enable us to connect datasets and harness the power of data to drive our research agenda.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement information governance policies and procedures in line with national and industry standards and best practice.
  • Provide expert advice on information governance issues, including GDPR and DPA provisions, to HDRC partners and collaborators.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across all service areas and partner organisations to research, review, and implement solutions.
  • Champion research and raise the profile of research and data governance objectives within the HDRC.
  • Assist with training on IG issues for council staff and partner organisations.
