Job Title: Management Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team on a 5-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will have strong numerical and administrative skills, with advanced knowledge of Excel and experience in using accounting software such as Exchequer, QuickBooks, or Sage Intacct.

This role is critical to supporting the existing management accountant in releasing them from day-to-day responsibilities while the business implements a new ERP system. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Generate weekly working capital reports.
  2. Develop and communicate month-end timetables.
  3. Prepare and reconcile monthly closing entries.
  4. Post journal entries.
  5. Prepare management accounts and consolidations.
  6. Reconcile balance sheets.
  7. Prepare accounts to trial balance for our Australian subsidiary.
  8. Perform other ad hoc tasks as required.

Requirements:

  1. 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
  2. Experience with trading sub-ledgers is beneficial.
  3. Fully qualified ACCA or CIMA.
  4. High accuracy and attention to detail.
  5. Analytical mindset and strong organizational skills.
  6. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Problem-solving attitude.
  8. Competence in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint.
  9. Proficient in Exchequer preferred, but ability to manipulate information from older systems is helpful.
  10. Excellent Excel skills, advanced preferred.
