We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant to join our team at Vetro Recruitment. As a Welsh medium primary school, we pride ourselves on promoting the Welsh language and culture, ensuring that our pupils receive a high-quality education in both English and Welsh.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons and supporting pupils' learning in both English and Welsh
  • Work with small groups or individual pupils to reinforce learning concepts
  • Help manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe, inclusive environment
  • Support pupils with additional learning needs
  • Contribute to the planning and preparation of learning activities
  • Foster a love of the Welsh language and culture among pupils

Requirements:

  • Fluent in Welsh (both spoken and written)
  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school setting
  • A passion for education and supporting children's learning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • An understanding of the curriculum and teaching methods used in Welsh medium schools is desirable

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Registration as a School Learning Support Worker with the EWC (the Education Workforce Council)
  • References covering the last two years
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
  • The right to work in the UK
