Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our EC&I team in Ellesmere Port. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing complex electrical schematics and engineering documentation in accordance with relevant gas networks standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical systems for hazardous areas installations
  • Carry out ATEX calculations and specify equipment for use in various hazardous areas
  • Assist the commissioning team in testing live systems at Pre-FAT and FAT
  • Advise junior EC&I engineers on electrical engineering subjects and methodologies
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years' experience in electrical design engineering
  • Degree qualified or time-served apprenticeship
  • Demonstrable experience working on designs for hazardous areas installations
  • Knowledge and experience of electrical installations in accordance with BS 7671
What We Offer:
  • Salary up to £54,000 based on experience
  • 25 days holiday plus 8 days bank holiday
  • Pension entitlement: 3% employer, 5% employee
  • Hybrid working: up to 2 days working from home
