The Education Specialists are seeking a dedicated and passionate Secondary Teacher to work with pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in Oldham.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in Maths and English to cater to the diverse needs of pupils.
- Create a supportive and nurturing classroom environment that fosters academic, social, and emotional growth.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and support strategies for students with SEMH needs.
- Monitor and track pupil progress, providing regular feedback and adapting teaching methods to ensure effective learning.
- Build positive relationships with students, parents, and carers, promoting a culture of respect, inclusion, and high expectations.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching Maths and English, preferably within a specialist or alternative provision setting.
- A strong understanding of SEMH needs and effective strategies to support students with these challenges.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach to teaching.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
