About the Role:

FIS Global is seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our innovative Capital Markets production operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing our clients in both private and public cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in day-to-day activities of operating various production environments to maintain high stability, reduce Service Downtime, and improve Quality of Service for FIS clients.
  • Work with bleeding-edge technology, coding, configuring, implementing, maintaining, and supporting various systems.
  • Lead incident triage calls and follow up on root cause analysis.
  • Configure and deploy product releases into production and verify for quality work.
  • Participate in data center and infrastructure change activities.
  • Develop monitoring and alerting for various application production environments.
  • Help identify repetitive non-value adding tasks and automate them using coding and scripting.
  • Actively participate and contribute in team meetings and team building activities.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge and experience in supporting Microsoft Windows Server.
  • Strong Microsoft PowerShell experience.
  • Site Reliability Engineer will focus on scalability, high availability, performance, stability, and reliability of software applications.
  • Proven experience and knowledge of designing, building, and supporting application infrastructure in a private and Azure public cloud.
  • Change management experience on ITSM tools like Service Now.
  • Experience initiating and leading or participating in the resolution of incidents.
  • Experience developing and implementing effective monitoring on standard tools similar to Splunk, Dynatrace, and Azure cloud-native monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge and skills to comfortably work on Windows, SQL Server.
  • Ability to query, script, and deploy in Microsoft SQL Server.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience in developing and implementing production monitoring.
  • Experience and good understanding of networking.
  • Hands-on PowerShell, MS SQL programming experience.
  • General knowledge of financial applications.
  • LaserFiche experience.
