To provide exceptional service and technical expertise in the automotive workshop environment.
Position Overview
As a Master Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical operations within the workshop, ensuring high standards of service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain advanced skill levels and comprehensive knowledge of all technologies utilized in the vehicle lineup, participating in relevant Master Technician training as necessary.
- Engage directly with customers regarding any long-term vehicle issues, ensuring all work is executed thoroughly and followed up until resolution.
- Stay fully informed about all manufacturer's technical documentation and information bulletins, ensuring this knowledge is disseminated and understood by all technicians. Identify training and development opportunities within the workshop team.
- Collaborate with the Workshop Controller and Aftersales Manager to ensure quality control of all tasks performed by the workshop team.
- Work alongside the Workshop Controller to guarantee adequate staffing levels in the workshop to meet operational hours.
- Conduct regular meetings to document and communicate any workshop concerns or suggestions to the appropriate parties.
- Mentor and develop fellow technicians and apprentice technicians within the workshop.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment to uphold the company's and manufacturers' standards.
Skills & Qualifications
Essential:
- Relevant City & Guilds, BTEC, or NVQ certification.
- Proficiency in numeracy, literacy, and IT skills.
- Demonstrated energy and enthusiasm.
- Valid UK driving license.
- Professional appearance.
Experience:
- Relevant experience and training with manufacturers.
- Prior experience as a Master Technician with VAG or premium brands.
