Main Purpose of the Role
The Warehouse Administrator will be a key part of the warehouse administration team, supporting the Area Managers and Warehouse Manager in the smooth running of the entire warehouse function. This includes ensuring all business requirements and customer requests related to administrative activities are carried out in full as required.
Key Responsibilities
- To ensure accuracy and availability of stocks within the warehouse by following all operational processes and procedures correctly relevant on the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- To work cohesively with all other support functions within the wider operation and carry out any other tasks as reasonably requested by the business.
- To highlight the need for labour for any re-work required (if applicable to site).
- To allocate booking slots for the inbound diary when booking requests are received.
- To prepare goods in notes and labels in advance for next days' deliveries.
- To print and scan any paperwork for relevant internal and external customer use.
- To assist with checking and labelling of inbound loads (if applicable to site).
- To build and allocate loads on Roadrunner.
- To complete all inbound and outbound system transactions in a correct and timely manner.
- To support with customer visits and be approachable to answer any questions.
- To raise and complete any transfer orders as needed.
- To follow up any delays of inbound deliveries and escalate any issues as needed.
- To follow up any transport delays of outbound collections and escalate any issues as needed.
- To escalate any delays with order picking to avoid collection delays or failures.
- To archive and store paperwork at COP each week ensuring it is available and audit ready if requested.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Excellent written, numeracy, and accurate data entry skills.
- Good time keeping and highly organized.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Computer literate with a willingness to learn new systems and processes.
- Be motivated and practical-thinking.
- Strong Team Player with good interpersonal skills.
- Must have own transportation to work.
Desirable Skills / Experience
- 1 year's experience of working in a warehouse environment.
- Flexibility and willingness to work overtime when needed.
- Understanding of inbound / outbound supply chain processes.
Accountable KPI's
- Customer Service - To ensure all paperwork is processed with accuracy.
- Escalate and resolve any receipt or delivery queries.
- Ensure all documentation is processed within 24 hours of receipt.
