Job Title: Banking Risk Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Banking Risk Manager to join our team at THC Recruitment. As a key member of our risk management team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head of Risk in implementing and maintaining the risk management framework.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain risk management strategies, policies, and procedures tailored for various business lines.
  • Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and performance metrics to proactively identify emerging risks, whilst escalating and reporting any deviations from established risk thresholds.
  • Proactive maintenance of the Company risk register by carrying out comprehensive risk assessments.
  • Identify potential threats and vulnerabilities across various aspects of the business, including credit risk, market risk, operational risk, financial risk, and compliance risk.
  • Coordinate the completion of quarterly risk controls within the prescribed deadlines.
  • Test the adequacy and effectiveness of first-level controls performed by the business, identify areas of improvement and propose corrective actions, where necessary.
  • Maintain an up-to-date business continuity plan (BCP) and coordinate BCP testing activity at least twice per year.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, risk management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in automotive or financial services.
  • Knowledge of the regulatory regime and the requirements and guidance issued by the regulatory bodies is desirable.
  • Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), or other relevant professional certifications is desirable.
